Clydebank and Fort William have now come to an agreement to play our Scottish Cup second prelim round tie on the evening of Saturday 2nd September at Claggan Park, with a 7:30pm kick off.
The proposed change to Golspie Sutherland was, clearly, a less than ideal scenario for both clubs and both sets of fans – many of whom were unlikely to be able to make the journey due to a lack of public transport and the significant costs involved.
We have now had reassurances that the pitch will not be used for the run and it is only the perimeter and surrounding area that is used, with both being clear in time for an evening kick off instead.
We’re pleased to have been able to find a solution that will hopefully suit the supporters much more, and we look forward to the game.
