Season over as WOSFL declare null and void

Clydebank’s debut season in the West of Scotland Football League has been declared null and void.

Yesterday’s announcement from the Scottish Government means we would not return to full training before May, and therefore we would be unable to complete enough games in order to decide the league on a points per game basis.

Chair Grace McGibbon commented: “While we’re disappointed the season has come to an end, we would like to put on record our thanks to the WOSFL for the way they’ve dealt with a difficult and trying first season.

“We’d like to thank everyone who has supported us in our first but brief season back in the Scottish football pyramid.

“Naturally we’re sad not to have shared our successes on the pitch in person, but we hope you have enjoyed watching a preview of what is still to come via our live streaming service.

“Today’s announcement means we can now focus our attention on planning for the new season ahead, when we hope to have fans return to Holm Park.”
