We are delighted to announce striker Ciaran Mulcahy has become the latest Bankie to commit his future to the club.
The forward, who has five goals in his last four appearances after a long injury lay off, has put pen to paper on a new one year deal that takes him up until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Ciaran said: “I’m really happy to sign and get it over the line. I haven’t played as much football as I’d like this year, but I’ve been so glad to get back involved with the team and I’m lucky to be involved next year as well.
“We have such a good dressing room, and when I say that, I mean we have boys who will pull each other up. That is not in a negative way, it is just that we expect the best for each other. There are no egos or big time people in there, we are all in it for the team and if anyone drops their level we have so many good heads in there who will keep them right.
“It was a long and frustrating few months. There were times when I thought I was getting there, then things would break down again. You miss it when you’re not involved and you are watching from the side thinking what you could do to affect the game and you just feel a bit helpless.
“Coming back right after Christmas, the main thing for me was match sharpness and the only way you can get that is by playing games. You can do all the work in the gym and in training, but actually playing games makes a big difference so I was glad even to get the cameo against Benburb and have taken it from there.”
