Clydebank FC is delighted to announce the signing of Danny MacKenzie from Pollok.
The 30-year-old joins the Bankies following a four season stint at Newlandsfield, which followed a five season stay at Kirkintilloch Rob Roy where he worked with Bankies boss Gordon Moffat.
Danny said: “It all got done pretty quickly and was a bit of a whirlwind – once the ball started rolling it gained momentum and the deal was sorted. I can play left back or left wing-back and like to get the ball down and get forward.
“Once I spoke to Moff and Gary, who I played with back in the Rob Roy days, they both sold the club to me and there was only one place I wanted to be.”
Moff added: “He’s a player we know very well as both Gaz and I worked with him at Rob Roy – and for me he is one of the best full backs in the division.
“We are delighted to get him and I think he will add experience and has a real bit of quality about him. We were conscious anyone coming in had to be the right one and he’ll fit into the club and the dressing room really well.”
