We’re delighted to announce influential attacker Lee Gallacher has put pen to paper on a new contract extension to remain with the club until 2024.
The 27-year-old has been a mainstay in Gordon Moffat’s side this season, and has been directly involved with 13 goals across his 21 appearances so far this term.
Lee said: “I’m happy to sign again because I see the ambition of the club, and really feel like we can achieve something with this group.
“It’s been a good season so far, though we were a bit up and down to begin with, but we have managed to get through it. There have been a few small tweaks and finding a settled system has helped with that and also to help get me back to last season’s form.
“Hopefully we can have a strong finish in the league and challenge for the cups and be able to build again for next year and have a good crack at it.”
Bankies boss Gordon Moffat added: “It’s brilliant news for the club. I think Lee’s really settled here and he’s back playing well – so we are delighted he is staying on as he is a big player for us.
“By Lee’s standards, he had a wee drop early in the season but that coincided with a dip in the team. Lately he has been back to his best and his numbers are getting back to where they were, because those last season in terms of goals and assists were right up there with anything at this level.
“It’s not just open play with Lee, again on Saturday he got another assist with a quality ball in for Kev. Nearly every game you know he can provide something, whether it’s a free kick, corner or from open play. He just brings so much to the team so we are delighted he is staying, and hopefully it shows people our ambition that we want to keep pushing on.”
