Following the end of the 2021/22 season, we can now provide supporters with a squad update, with eight players set to move on at the end of their contracts.
Left back Paul Byrne has played a big role since joining in summer 2019, going on to make 64 appearances and was a mainstay in our magnificent Scottish Cup run this season.
As acknowledged last week, academy graduate Matt McLean will also depart due to work commitments, which at times this season has seen him commute from the North East of Scotland. Matty won the Scottish Cup with our U19s and went on to make 95 appearances, scoring five goals.
Michael Bailey and Conor Lynass both took breaks from football during the season and will also leave the club the summer having turned out on 48 and 54 occasions respectively,
Goalkeeper Jamie Stevenson is also moving on, with midfielder Liam Harris set to take up the opportunity of a scholarship in the USA, subject to final formalities.
Craig Holmes has completed a transfer to return to Lowland League side Cumbernauld Colts while Kyle Munro’s loan from Hamilton Accies has ended.
We remain in discussions with Ross McPherson.
The following players are under contract for season 2022/23:
- Jamie Donnelly
- Adam Hodge
- Matt Niven
- Jamie Darroch
- Kevin Green
- Oisin McHugh
- Frazer Johnstone
- Joe Slattery
- Chris Black
- Liam McGonigle
- Lee Gallacher
- Ciaran Mulcahy

A number of our U20 title winning side have also been promoted to the first team, and contracts for those players will be announced shortly.
We would of course like to place on record our thanks to every player for all their time and efforts in a Clydebank jersey and wish those moving on and their families the very best for the future.
