We’re delighted to confirm the arrival of forward Thomas Collins on a two-year deal from Kilwinning Rangers.

The Bankies fought off stiff competition for the 26-year-old, who has put pen to paper until the summer of 2025.

Thomas explained: “I’m really glad to be here, Moff has been interested in me for quite a long time but I’m glad the day is finally here that I can get the jersey on. I’m just really looking forward to getting started at pre-season and getting out there with the boys.

“I’m impressed by him both as a guy and as a football manager, and it was really interesting to hear how he wants me to fit into the team and what he thinks I can bring. That’s goals, energy, intensity and I like to think I’m good off the ball as well, so hopefully I can show the fans all of those qualities over the next couple of seasons.

“There was a fair bit of interest, which probably surprised me slightly. I had signed a year’s extension there so it has obviously been a bit of a decision for me to say that I needed to step away, or that another option was going to entice me enough to move.

“I’m at the stage of my career where I’m looking for a project where I can see a team challenging for this league, and if I can see that then it will be somewhere I’ll be looking to stay again if my performances allow that to be the case.

“The attacking firepower and quality of this squad was probably what pushed it over the line, because as a striker I’m looking to see who can provide service. I’m a penalty box striker so looking at the likes of Lee, Nicky, Callum and Alan in an attacking sense, and good full back options as well I can see quality right throughout this squad.
